This weekend, we were at it once again as the Rochester DJ and wedding entertainment vendor of choice for the Soppe Wedding. This was a multi-cultural wedding that we really really enjoyed! It was half Italian and half Laotian. The bride and groom decided to have two ceremonies also…a traditional one at a church offsite and then a really interesting Buddhist ceremony at the venue afterwards. The Buddhist ceremony was awesome because they had people chanting in the Laotian language and they went through this entire tradition and explanation of spirits entering and leaving the body to bring good health and fortune. We absolutely love doing multi-cultural weddings and have done a ton of them in the past but this was probably one of the most interesting ones we’ve done to date. Once the ceremony and dinner was over with, it was time to party and man, did these guests not disappoint. They hit the dance floor hard and refused to leave until the end of the night. The venue is also a beautiful water front venue which amazing views of the river and Lake Ontario which gave an incredible backdrop to the entire day.
